a digital word, Traditional marketing methods still have their benefits and should be used in certain
marketing campaigns. Traditional and Digital methods can work together to optimize the brand 3.
Crisis Management strategies are important when addressing negative feedback/ PR issues.
When thinking of attributes of an effective leader, personal brand traits that they appear to have
are they are trustworthy and reliable. I desire to be that kind of leader. I want to be able to
motivate my team and instill confidence in them. The three main things I will walk away with from
this course are Marketing, Brand Building and Market Research Strategies. These three skills
resonate with me the most because of the fact they come in handy the most when building out a
business. You need good market research techniques along with good brand building techniques to
get your business off the ground. You also need better marketing to take advantage of all that
work and drive more sales and growth.
Attributes of an effective leader when it comes to brand building, they need to stand for
something. When building up a brand you need to stand for something, more than just making
money. You need to stand for something and stand by that through thick and thin. I believe having
a strong will and being able to stand behind your beliefs when everyone else is belittling them is
the attributes of a strong leader when it comes to building a brand. I think a personal brand image
for me woule be a caring person in life. I think I can do this by showing people i care by wearing my
emotions on my sleeve. And standing by what i believe in no matter what. This will allow me to
continue to build my brand.

Three key takeaways that resonated with me:
-Brand awareness, creating brand awareness is crucial for the future of a business. This informs
customers of your existence; they will be aware of your product or service. This resonated with me
as awareness of brand on whether it was great company and after one incident the brand is no
longer held to the same standards. Brand awareness helped me learn if I keep showing up and
communicating what we are doing right, my loyal customers will return, and I will have new ones
along the way.
-Cross functional teams- In a business we have experts in place for each department. The piece
that resonated with me was the level of communication even within the same department but
different location. As a company we have the same mission but the “how” we reach our goal may
be a little different depending on your geographic location or manager, this will then have to leave
strategies vague.
-Marketing, like everything else, is constantly changing. The piece that resonated was the variety of
methods one can use to capture a variety of audiences. There is no clear definition of how to
produce lead but if we keep moving forward, stay competitive and share what is new to our
product we will be successful. b

Being a lifelong learner can help boost personal brand image, the more you learn you can increase
opportunities. As we continue growing and learning our goals and ambition will also evolve. b
I took many things away from this class but three of the most important were:

SMART goal setting
Internal & External Factors
All three listed resonated with me in a few different ways. Brand Equity is how the consumer
receives your brand so it is essential to invest in it heavily and maintain a positive image even when
things are not so good. We took a bad situation and had to re-spin it into a good one to improve
upon brand equity. SMART goals help with everything involved in a business so they stood out to
me. They allow you to set very relevant and specific goals that will help you get further along in the
right direction. Last, we investigated internal and external environmental factors. These are the
factors that determine how you operate in every which way. It is key to maintain a good grip on
the internal business environment as well as the outside.
A good leader to me can communicate with their employees. Most of the time you see people
leading with an iron fist and not really appealing to the very people that help them succeed.
Communication is key so that employees are heard and valued properly. This behaviour will
empower your employees and you will get much better work from them thus leading to many
other positive outcomes rather than not. I want my personal brand to be one that is diverse and
adaptable. I like the thought of getting into different businesses so this image would fit me very
well. Learning and being a lifelong learner will allow me to always keep the door open to new
things. A mindset like that will be one that gets you a long way so that is what everyone should
strive for.
