I agree with the statement “The best-performing companies worry
less about performance and more about their organizational
capabilities”. This statement proves that having a n inclusive culture
that is able to perform the tasks and meet the mission and vision of
the company will perform to the best of their capabilities. The
companies’ standards have a large influence of how the public views
the company. in the interviews the companies have a strong
relationship with their customers which creates return customers to
each company.
The organizational culture can affect the performance of a
company in positive and negative ways. The use of organizational
culture influences the ability of companies to explore and retain
internal and external knowledge. The transfer of knowledge for
employees that have had a long-standing relationship with the
company can train new employees and keep the same standard of
care throughout the company. The performance of the organization
relies on the amount of work and effort of the staff that is used in
the operations. This can result in a high morale of productivity of the
organization or low morale and have low productivity if the staff isn’t
active.
Company A
The organizational culture of company A allows for the customer
expertise to be utilized to the full extent that is possible for the
company. The organizational culture in this company proves to have
a positive impact on the performance of the company. this
performance can be used to improve technological advances and
improve their performance by increasing awareness for customer
convenience. This will allow the company to increase their
capabilities and improve their culture by increasing the amount of
information that is being given to new hires.
Company B
The impact of the organizational culture for company B shows that
their performance is based on the impact of the organizational
culture. The current president has the ability and means to improve
their technological advances however, the company’s culture is
complacent in most areas. The sales interview stated that they are
mainly complacent with their sales techniques and has been shown a
decrease in sales over the last quarter. This impacts the entire
company due to the number of customers that are flying with the
airline. One issue that may cause a hindrance in organizational
culture is that the human resources onboarding is through a third
party. This party specializes in union negotiations and onboarding.
This causes new hires to have less training and relies on the older
personnel to train and teach all the information.
