5-1: Assignment: Employee Satisfaction Survey Results Evaluation (Part Two)
The company I work for has been conducting employee satisfaction surveys among its
employees every two years. The current employee survey brought awareness to problematic
situations in the work place such as training and development, job satisfaction and recognition.
Some areas I have been focusing on are working conditions, recognition and training and
development. Based upon my evaluation, I can identify a few obstacles such as skill gaps,
financial hardships, other resources and cooperation from employees to implement the changes I
would like to see before conducting another employee survey in the future.
New skill sets and proper training are important to consider for long-term effects in an
organization. Many employees in their positions cannot comprehend how to accurately do their
job. Because of this, employers argue that they have a hard time filling jobs. A breach in people’s
skills may range from large issues such as bad long-term work ethics to small issues such as
restricted experience in the company in the midst of new hires. Changes here can be made
possible by finding an unbiased outsider to conduct a skill gap analysis throughout the company.
