Subject: Change in Benefits- Open Enrollment
Good morning, Team, For the past ten years we have been using the same benefits provider and
as you all have heard the contract with this benefits provider has ended. With that news came a
lot of concerns for individuals about what would happen as it pertains to the new benefits
provider. We were able to take your concerns into consideration and we were able to get
enhancements on a few of those wishes as we were able to accomplish all of those wishes as it is
nearly impossible.
The following items listed below represents the changes that were made:
Health and wellness programs
oweight loss application
oincentive for wellness visits and activity logs,
oreimbursement for gym
osmoking cessation programs
Plans with multiple deductible options
Health care savings account
Improved dental plans
While we understand the importance of having lower premiums, improved eye care plan
options, reduced premiums for nonsmokers and enhanced long- and-short-term disability
coverage. We were not able to come to an agreement with the new benefit supplier on those
that would make it better for our employees.
These changes will go into effect on January 1 of the new fiscal year and will be rolled out
during the open-enrollment period of the current year. Open enrollment will begin October 15th
through to November 15th. Now would be the opportune time for everyone to review their last
benefit package and compare it with the new package and make the needed change. A Benefits
packet will also be mailed out to each team member along with it being on the company’s
website. If you still have any questions, feel free to contact the Human Resource department.
Sincerely,
Dorcia Heath
Director, Strategic Planning.
