Identified Trends
• On the basis of the Employee Satisfaction Survey results, there are specific areas
that have undergone significant changes as compared to others such as the level of
job satisfaction has declined in the current year as compared to four years back.
• There is also decline in satisfaction in focus areas such as company and strategy
and recognition and praise, as compared to past years.
• There is a vital interlink with diverse focus areas which ultimately influences the
satisfaction of the employees in the work setting. For example, ‘recognition and
praise’ focus area has an impact on the work motivation of the employees and
their ultimate satisfaction in the work setting. Researcher Kwizera has argued that
reward and recognition is related to the satisfaction level of employees (Kwizera,
2020).

RECOGC ITION & PRAISE
• Another important focus area that the company must work upon is company and
strategy. By working on the area, the organization would be able to create value
for its stakeholders like customers and employees. This focus area would
influence how the business attains its goals (Business strategy. IMD business
school, 2020).
• The organization must acknowledge and recognize the contribution of the
employees. It could act as a chief motivating factor and positively influence their
performance. According to Hussain, employee recognition has a positive impact
on their performance and commitment towards the company (Hussain et al.,
2019).
Reality—Current State
• The current state relating to job satisfaction focus area is poor as compared to the
past. In the long-run it could act as a major hurdle for the employer by leading to
high employee turnover (Gebregziabher et al., 2020). It could also increase the
cost burden for the business due to providing training to new employees.
• The current state of the focus area company and strategy is poor as compared to
the past. The main reason for the same include diminished care for employees and
customers. In the long-term it could hamper the relationship that the company has
with its key stakeholders.
• The current state of recognition and praise is also ineffective as compared to that
of the past. It could adversely affect the motivation level of the employees and
lead to employee turnover.
Desired Future State—Where Would You Like to Be?
• In the focus area of job satisfaction, the goal is to improve the desired result by 10
%. It could help to improve the satisfaction of the employees and positively
influence their commitment towards the business. c
• In the focus area of company and strategy, the goal is to improve the desired result
by 3 %. Such a goal would help the company to create value for its stakeholders
by caring for them.
• In the recognition and praise focus area, the goal is to enhance the desired result
by 12 % so that employees would feel that they are being appreciated for their
work. It could boost their morale and positively influence their performance.
