8-1 Discussion: Reflection
Applied Statistics has evaluated and endeavored to preserve a tremendous amount of
knowledge over the course of the last eight weeks while also benefiting from it, appreciating it,
and memorizing it all. I had a great deal of apprehension when I first began this class because,
nearly four years ago [and more than 15 years after completing high school, when I decided to
take my two critical Math classes, Algebra I and Algebra II, I actually nearly stopped going to
college altogether. And I probably would have if it weren't for my older cousin giving private
lessons to me at home on her lunchtime from the DMV. And here I was enrolled in a course that
used similar math skills and had to put them to a statistical math word problem after yet another
reasonable gap in "math"). Which, I agree, is like mastering an utterly alien dialect, as I had been
informed. I certainly would contrast this program, Applied Statistics, toward being advised on
how to manufacture a space capsule in a different language.
Despite this second language, nonetheless, I've genuinely collected so much (mainly in
Spreadsheets), which I can employ in my everyday lives and which also perfectly enhances my
portfolio and past job status. The talents I gained in this program will find specific uses in my
own life that incorporate utilizing Spreadsheet. Even though I once had to program a few times
