Clinical Systems Improvement Coordinator job:
I am a motivated, hardworking, analytical person who is more than
capable of working on her own but also works well as part of a team.
I am diligent in trying to find solutions but never afraid to ask
questions. My inquisitive mind keeps me always learning and always
accepting new challenges. I have an Associate's degree in Science,
Business Administration, and General Studies, as well as a Health
Science Certificate from Southwest Virginia Community College.
Currently, I am working towards a Bachelor of Science in Health
Information Management, with a completion date of August 2023,
from Southern New Hampshire University. I am a member of the
Association of Health Information Association (AHIMA), the
Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS),
and the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
For the past 16 years I have worked for the same employers who had
four concurrent businesses. During this time I have worn many hats
including office manager, IT support tech, desktop publisher, and
Website setup & maintenance. I am experienced using many
software programs, most notably Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe
photoshop and InDesign CC, and Adobe Acrobat Dc for form
creation, as well as a variety of email and web browser programs. I
also have basic experience in Google Workspace, GoDaddy
administration panels, Office 365, and C-Panel, including email setup
and granting access to various tools. I am a huge promoter of using
technology to better organize communication and projects and I
regularly create training guides to help the team members utilize
their software more effectively and efficiently. If I discover a way to
make a task or process easier and more streamlined, I will always
offer the idea up for consideration by management. I am currently
studying the course material necessary to obtain the certification
"belts" in Lean Six Sigma to optimize my contribution to the
company.
After completing my Bachelor's degree, I plan to continue my
education with a Masters of Science in Computer Science.
Technology plays an increasingly large role in the healthcare industry
and the advanced learning will empower me with the knowledge to
aid in its successful expansion. It will also grant me the ability to
create user-friendly applications to help address health care literacy
issues amongst the general public in our communities.
