Considering Puerto Rico is a monarchy, statistics about it is closely attributed to facts about the
United States. I have declared that gathering the knowledge for this section was my most tricky
problem given that none of the sources contained the most updated stats.
Government type: Republicans system of governance with different versions for the executive,
parliament, and administrative powers; unregulated US jurisdiction with the private sector.
Political leaders: Political spokespersons comprise President Donald J. TRUMP (since 20
January 2017) Vice President (as of January 20, 2017): Michael R. PENCE Governor Wanda
Vazquez, in power starting 7 August 2019
Cabinet: The nominates the cabinet with the permission of the Federal Parliament.
Political pressure (or opposition) groups:
●PNP, or the New Progressive Party (Tomas Rivera Schatz) (pro-US statehood) officially
in command
●PPD, or the Popular Dem Party (Anibal Jose Torres) (pro-commonwealth)
●PIP, or the Puerto Rican Independence Party (Ruben Berrios Martinez)
(pro-independence)
Corruption Perceptions Index:
As shown by Integrity International's 2014 Index Of Economic Freedom, Puerto Rico is the 31st
least corrupt place out of 180. Following Integrity Institute's 2014 Democracy Index, Puerto Rico
has a score of 63 out of 100.
For me, having a 63/100 on a 100 x 35 island with fewer than 4 million people is indeed
disturbing. Puerto Rico has faced numerous difficulties through its history in its battle against
graft. Thousands of people stuffed the sidewalks to demonstrate against the country's corruption
and desire, for the first time in the island's history, the abdication of the still-in-office chancellor,
Ricardo Rosello, in the summer of 2019. A large number of occurrences have left their mark on
history, but this one was the most updated version.
The chancellor eventually discontinued as a reaction to the mounting scrutiny. Here is an
insightful opinion from the New York Daily News if you're interested in reading a bit more on
these findings:
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/27/us/puerto-rico-protests-timeline.html/.
A significant portion of the allegation relates to sector corporations and firms that, in one way or
the other, develop greater contacts with the administration in order to promote themselves.
Considering policy makers negotiated million-dollar deals with privately held corporations for
favors or selfish purposes, numerous leaders of the chancellor's administration were detained last
July for wrongdoing associated with these types of corporations, along with many other offenses.
So how would I, like a firm, reduce violence from hurting my operations? putting in place sound
work rules and having executives that adhere to people Well-defined investments to reduce
financial reliance on the state in several ways; adaptive preparations Implement regulations that
respect the culture and way of life and uphold cordial connections with the ruling party and any
ascendant alternatives.
Threats will indeed exist, yet it is up to the businesses to create objectives that eliminate any
possibility of misconduct. The appropriate individuals in the ideal positions working for the
optimal purposes of the organization and the nation that gave the space is the key to the structure.
