While the WHO defines health as a state of complete physical,
mental, and social wellbeing, when a person is unhealthy any one or
all of these states could be compromised. Unhealthy can refer to
anything from a splinter in a finger to anxiety brought on by
hardships. Being unhealthy does not always refer that a disease has
taken presence in our body as such it does not automatically mean
pathology. In some cases, being unhealthy could be treated with
medications, but that's not always the case. Some illnesses can be
treated by other means, like physical or mental therapy. There are
many different ways to treat an illness that doesn't involve
medications.
