According to Fox Business, the top fitness trend for 2020 is fitness
trackers. These trackers monitor exercise, heart rate, calorie
consumption, sleep quality, and step count. Wearable tech has
become ingrained in today's culture, and the industry shows no signs
of slowing down. Tech advances have made it easier than ever for
users to collect important health metrics and work with fitness
professionals and health care providers . Some companies are
implementing wearable technology programs. This helps employers
see what their greatest assets are. Their employees. If their
employees are happy and healthy then production will increase,
employee engagement will increase, and employees will take fewer
sick days. Employees will want to improve their wellbeing
I use a bike app and a walking app on my phone. I love using it
because it really motivates me to want to walk and bike ride more. It
helps me reach my goals and also try to beat my record highs. It is
fun trying and doing it. I also wear an insulin pump, which is a
wearable technology.
I wear it for three days at a time and it delivers insulin to me when
my blood sugar level rises, and it also stops the delivery of insulin if
my blood sugar level drops. I also wear a CGM (continuous glucose
monitor). This I wear on me for ten days at a time. Every five minutes
it reads my blood sugar level and sends that information to my
insulin pump. It is amazing technology. It really helps me live my life
better. I do not need to constantly finger sticks to test my sugar
levels and I can do more with them on me.
