Research on my topic voting rights.
KNOW:
I am 36 years old and I started rolling at the age of 18. When I first started voting it was very
different than from what it is now. During the history lens that I already know is that you used to
have to go to a certain voting place in which county you were living in and they used to have
booth that you stepped into to do your voting and it seemed a little scary then because people
were so Stern and bossy but I learned that was how it was back then from today. As for the
humanities hold the booze and polling places came into actions because people could direct you
to a booth and then show you where to drop your balance and they were very serious about it not
looking around or really talking to anybody while you were there to vote and it seemed a little
odd to me then but I understand why it was like it is then but not now. For what I know when
your social science please is that people really talk when they went to go unless you were
somebody that had got your own money then they seem to let them gossip why they wanted him
to vote but for the most part people hardly talk when they were voting and I still quite
understand why some get to when others don’t still to this day. Last but not least the natural
science lens is where they have tried a couple different ways that people can vote now days
unlike the past but it turned out to still have snags that they did not see coming and they are still
trying to work out the flaws in the ways you can vote so that it counts it properly and not have a
lot of recounts like they had when Donald Trump ran but lost due to problems with how the
votes were counted and turned in.
Want to know:
Well for one I would like to know if they have fixed glitches in online voting from last year?
Also why they have changed it from having to go into a booth to vote and now just sitting at a
table while voting is legal? For the last question that I have that I would like to get answered is
are people able to talk amongst themselves while waiting to vote or are you not supposed to talk
about it beforehand and why? I still feel that it goes against people’s constitutional rights when
they get their voting rights taken away when they get in trouble because it doesn’t seem fair that
others that don’t really care still have them and others have them take it away and they do care
and want to vote and I heard that every vote counts but how is that when some don’t get to vote
when they really want to now that doesn’t seem fair does it. Yes hopefully they have fixed the
glitches in the voting machines online so they say they sent out software fixes and they are
splitting the votes into two separate on the same page so for the most part they are hoping that all
the glitches are fixed and won’t have the same repeat as last year. As for my next question about
having to use a booth is because nowadays it seems more digital than it was back then and most
people know who they want to vote for more often than years ago because they get to research
about them more today than they could back then and lastly about my last question being able to
talk amongst people while waiting to vote is more open than what it used to be because people
figuring out that they can discuss certain things and find out more in full and maybe even change
their mind while waiting to vote just from discussing with other people and getting more
information than what they had before. Mostly I use the resources provided to get most of my
information and also I looked up on Google about the glitches to get that information.
The two lenses that I have selected for my analysis is the history lens and the humanities lens
because I enjoy reading about our country's history and to be able to see where we are now from
where we were then and it's quite different. The history lens let you read about the past and to see
how much people struggled back then also how hard they had to fight to get where we are today
and for the humanities been civil about things and people sometimes get hurt and that's never a
good thing because we are supposed to be helping each other not hurting them. The similarities
from the two lenses I chose are that they deal with seeing people fight and fight to get the rights
we believe they are good for almost all Americans because they focus on a human behavior the
differences is that are past and in the other can be from anytime point in your life. What I have
gained for my research is that they had to admin the voting Rights quite often to be able to
hopefully please the people and not start fighting and it seems that they did a very well job at
amending voting rights in the Constitution but people still to this day will argue with you about
the littlest misinformation that you might hear or say because there is a lot more to vote and for
the most part it’s been decent and calm so far but I know somewhere down the road there will be
that one person that is never satisfied with how things are and they will stir the pot just to get a
ride out of you so don’t let that happen and keep calm cool and collected because we have some
very awesome rights and I cherish every one of them.
