A client-facing role used by human services professionals within the
Community Action Program is the Senior Center Resource Manager.
The Senior Center Resource Manager is responsible for the day-to-
day operations of the Senior Center, which includes Meals on
Wheels, community dining, activities, and other senior programs. This
Manager evaluates the client’s specific nutritional needs for the
program and arranges for appropriate delivery of these meals. This is
like the helping process in chapter seven of our textbook because this
Resource Manager prepares to meet with each client, explore their
individual needs, and offers assistance.
