The Human Service industry has numerous jobs that involve many
different perspectives and components. The child services aspect of
the human service industry interested me the most originally.
However, after I was able to look at all the career paths available, I
was really interested in guide dog services and helping people with
animal therapy. All of the agencies I located are outside of the normal
idea of human service jobs but offer more versatility.
The Children's Home Society of Florida

Offers all different types of protections and services for children. This
system allows children to receive shelter, food, and healthcare.
However, the Children's Home Society of Florida tries to go even
further and provide support in adoption, visitation, case management,
and homelessness. This service aids the people who develop multiple
problems.
Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward County (ADRC)
located at 5300 Hiatus Rd, Sunrise, FL 33351
Provides elders (60 years old+) support and services to continue living
their lives with security, dignity, and purpose. This program helps give
elders with all types of diseases and also helps families affected by
these health problems.
Little Havana Activities and Nutrition Centers (LHANC)
located at 700 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33130
Offers interactive meetings with arts and crafts, nutrition plans,
health screenings, and physical fitness classes for all elderly people.
This organization tries to provide senior citizens with "normal" and
entertaining lives. This system tries to keep elderly people social and
active.
Southeastern Guide Dogs
located in 4210 77th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221
Provides assistance for those that are visually impaired, veterans, or
may have disabilities through guide dogs. This service offers dogs free
of charge to people who need their help. The dogs are trained
through the program and volunteers. Southeastern Guide Dogs' goal
is to give people an extraordinary partnership and connection
between owner and dog that can offer great benefits.
Family Budget Services Inc
4840 Hiatus Rd, Sunrise, FL 33351
Helps guide clients into making better financial decisions, building a
sustainable budget, and maintaining good credit. This service teaches
people who were in debt, financial ruin, bankruptcy, or any monetary
issues how to rebuild and fund themselves properly.
