In Portland, Oregon, the health and social needs of the residents are
diverse. Some of the chief health needs include alcohol use,
infectious diseases and diabetes. Several human service agencies
exist to improve the quality of life of people by addressing their
unmet health needs (Maine shared Community Health Needs

list of human service agencies is created in the community setting.
Each of the service providers plays an instrumental role in meeting
the unmet needs of the clients and customers so that their quality of
life can be improved and they can lead a better life.
1. Northwest Family Services (NWFS)

Services: The agency has designed a diverse range of programs to
extend help to refugees residing in the region. Some of the chief
programs and services include Supplement Nutrition Assistance

designed specifically for refugees.
