The first organization I will be talking about is NOHS. For a student, it costs $35 to join.
The benefits of joining this organization include being featured on social media, access to
scholarships, career help, volunteer opportunities, and the ability to present your work at
NOHS conferences (Stinchcomb 2022). Personally, I would consider joining. I find it
amazing that they offer these resources for those interested in human services. a
The second organization I will be talking about is the Council for standards in human
service education. The price of the membership ranges on which degree you are after. For
an associate's degree, it is $750, for a bachelor's, it is $1000, and masters is $1250
(CSHSE 2022). This organization's mission is to improve the quality of human service
programs and assure that the best practices are evidence-based and peer-reviewed (CSHSE
2022). I think this would be a good program to join if I needed more help with my degree.
