In this scenario an economic lens is being applied. Fluctuation in jobs and wages affect the
economy and/or workforce.

strong support from the Québécois community.
The political lens is being used in this scenario as a new governor is being elected. A new
governor reflects politics.

In the following scenario, which historical lens is being applied? Why do you think so?
Irish immigrants and first-generation Irish-Americans come to dominate the hierarchy of the
American Catholic Church in the late 19th century.
I believe both the social and religious lenses are being used. The social lens would reflect
how Irish are at the top of the Church and the religious lens is used because the Irish are
being discussed within the American Catholic Church.

In the following scenario, which historical lens is being applied? Why do you think so?
Immigration to the United States comes to be seen as a "rite of passage" for young Québécois
women in the early 20th century.
A social lens is being used here because the statement is referring to young Quebecois
woman when they enter the U.S. A cultural lens is used because the entire Quebecois culture
is affected by their women. I think maybe a religious lens could be applied due to the
Quebecois women believing their entrance to the US their "rite of passage."
