India now has a 1.37 billion-person population, compared to 741.4 million people in Europe and 329.45
million people in the United States. According to projections, India's population will continue to grow at
a high rate in the next years. " Demographers expect it to reach 1.65 billion people by 2050, making
India the most populous country on earth" (Screenivas, M., 2009). The U.S. and Europe have also stated
that India's massive population constitutes a threat to the world because as the population grows, so
