The Ramayana
The romance between Rama and Sita was the principal subject of the Ramayana. Rama and Sita
were destined to be together from the beginning since they were Vishnu and Lakshmi in human
form. The moment they set eyes on one another, they fell in love. At first glance, there was love.
Sita was willing to leave her luxury lifestyle behind and accompany Rama into exile in the
wilderness for fourteen years because their love for one another was so sincere and genuine.
When Ravana kidnapped Sita, Rama was equally upset. Although their love story served as a
role model for the younger generation, it also had issues with how people now see relationships
between men and women.
Rama was the Deity Vishnu's avatar and the eldest son of King Dasaratha of Kosala. King Janaka
of Janaka's foster daughter was Sita. Their master, Viswamithra, dispatched Rama and
Lakshmana on a mission. After passing through Janaka's palace, Rama's focus abruptly shifts to
the balcony where he is met by the radiant eyes of Princess Sita, who was having fun with her
friends. She observes him as well, and their eyes lock. Then, both of them experienced love at
first sight. Sita got restless after meeting Rama and began acting in a way that a person who is in
love would do. "Who is he? Emerald shoulders, lotus-petal eyes? He broke into my heart and
robbed me of all dignity!
Someone who might steal my peace of mind and capture my heart! With broad shoulders, yet
moving so quickly. Why did he not stop moving so that I might have had one last sight and
calmed my raging heart? He was here one moment, gone the next, and never to return. He was
not a god; his eyelids moved. Or did he cast a spell on the populace like a sorcerer?" Rama, on
the other hand, was completely enamored with her and kept thinking about her all night. It
doesn't take Rama long to convince Sita to hoist a large, massive bow that was once Shiva's and
is now a beautiful addition. After being married, they headed to Ayodhya.
When King Dasaratha made the decision to step down and name Rama the next monarch, things
weren't easy. Kaikeyi, the second wife of King Dasaratha, requested the coronation of her son
Bharatha and reminds the king of the two boons he had promised to fulfill at her request: "Banish
Rama to the forests for fourteen years; and crown Bharatha and celebrate his enthronement with
the arrangements you here have produced." Yet, the King was opposed to exiling his son.
Kaikeyi foresaw this happening and informed Rama that his father had promised to send Rama
for fourteen years to the wilderness while establishing Bharatha as king in exchange for her. Like
a good son would, Rama accepted this and prepared to go into exile, dressing in "the bark of
trees, eating roots and leaves." Rama and Goon also decided that Sita would travel into exile
with him. She was prepared to leave her husband Rama behind and give up all of her luxuries.
Even Lakshmana, who was reluctant to leave Rama, accompanied them. They encounter Sage
Athri and his wife Anusuya en route to Panchavati, and Anusuya gifts her jewelry.
