ENG 123 Creating Movement lecture notes
I decided to join the environmental movement because hearing the words "global warming"
made me feel really uneasy. The scientist has already been quoted as saying that if nothing
changes, it will eventually occur. Since I read history, I am aware of the environmental
movement. I've seen parts of it on CNN and other networks. I've read that scientists were
thinking about what and how we might adjust things to prevent this. I believed that once
scientists realized the extent of the pollution in our nation and the potential consequences, they
set to work on a solution. As a result, we now have electric vehicles that protect the stratospheric
ozone. Because I drive a gas-powered automobile and don't qualify for any tax or gas discounts,
it indirectly impacts me. However, I am appreciative of those who have acquired or wish to
purchase an electric vehicle.
