4-3 Assignment: Summarizing
In Jonathan Rauch’s article “Caring for your introvert: the habits and needs of a little-understood
group,” he discusses information that is not only factual, but shares his own stance on
introversion. Rauch starts by defining more of what an introvert is, and the characteristics of one.
He then goes on to give readers a statistic of the population that is made up of introverts, 25 to
40 percent but are still wildly misunderstood. The author concludes the article by giving
extroverts’ friendly suggestions on how to care for the introvert their life, in order to better
understand and support them.
