Analysis
ITIL holds a systematic approach to IT service management and "can help
businesses manage risk, strengthen customer relations, establish cost-
effective practices, and build a stable IT environment that allows for
growth, scale and change" (White, et. al, 2019). ITIL was first developed
"going back to the 1980s in the United Kingdom as a government
initiative" (simplilearn, 2022). The CCTA, British government's Central
Computer and Telecommunications Agency, ITIL first consisted of more
than 30 books, that included vendors best practices.
The attached pamphlet includes information regarding the evolving ITILs
best practices and components within ITSM (IT Service Management).
These processes can increase a businesses reliability and productivity.
Managing risk and keeping the infrastructure running not only saves
money, but it also allows the businesses/people to do their jobs more
effectively and efficiently while improving customer satisfaction.
