COM 126 Final Project One summary notes
Publications were present for hundreds of years and are no longer considered a luxury item by
the rich. Books have evolved from hefty bound or thin paper copies to more than simply religion
and politics. You can still buy physical copies of books, but you can also buy them as audiobooks
for your e-reader or MP3 device. Books continue to thrive in a plethora of ways. The earliest
books brought to America by the settlers were largely about government records and religion.
The first book published in America was not until 1644, when Thomas Edison created the
printing press in America. Before, books were only available to the affluent since they were the
only individuals who had the education to read, while the rest of the population was uneducated.
There are more than 100 genres and subgenres now, ranging from the books brought here to the
books being printed. Books have evolved from printed books and dime novels to much more.
There are audiobooks that can be downloaded and listened to anywhere, as well as e-books that
can be read on your electronic devices. Printed books continue to be the best-selling book format
because the need to touch an actual book in your hand to read will never fade.

Writings convey stories about more than just theology and governance. Books provide a window
into people's life and the difficulties they have faced. They are also an escape into a new universe
that allows individuals to forget about reality and believe that better things are happening, with a
happy ending at the conclusion of the chapter. Perhaps individuals require a good mystery to help
them escape the stresses of ordinary living.
There are still many people who prefer to read with a physical book in their hands. This graph
depicts the difference between print book and e-book sales in 2020 across the top ten publishing
nations. There are still many people who prefer to read with a physical book in their hands. This
graph shows statistics from three distinct years, demonstrating that printed books have more than
double the number of readers as e-books.
When a famous person says anything, many people instinctively believe it to be true. Because of
their celebrity, superstars receive higher advances than regular authors. If a celebrity's book goes
well on the market, the publisher's income grows, and additional celebrities or well-known
authors will be included. College textbook consumption have surpassed 650 million copies per
year. This would be included in my discussion since the figures are accurate as of September
2021. If the viewer realizes that literature remain an integral element of the realm of media
messages.
