Social marketing and health communication require identifying the
population segments that can benefit from particular health
behaviors. By understanding your primary audience, you can better
target messages, activities, and policies to them. Prior research
should include understanding the target audience’s motivations and
lifestyles to engage with them more personally and genuinely.

The exhibition, audience, and subject matter are three critical
components of an effective presentation. A presentation’s audience
is the people who will hear it. PowerPoint will convey a message
through its subject matter. Your exhibition will be the only way you
can spread the word about your subject matter. (Purdue University
Writing Lab).
Community health workers (or promotoras) are also responsible for
building trust in communities that may be less likely to open their
doors or share personal information because of social conditions or
research fatigue. Health promoters can also speak to community
members about their concerns and listen to testimonials that can
complement research findings. Community representatives are
crucial in engaging community members in health studies and
ensuring they can access health intervention resources. (“Harnessing

Because PowerPoint is so versatile, it allows me to carve out
significant themes (potential sections or chapters) and quickly see if I
can generate good ideas to support them. (Duarte).
Using Powerpoint to visualize processes and results is a great way to
engage an audience.
