Feedback from both internal and external sources is key in a
successful product launch. a Internal sources for my product launch
would consist of engineering, supply chain, and marketing. Feedback
and concerns would be collected during and after design reviews
which are meetings held with key personnel within each group
mentioned. These reviews would address any technical data as well
as design concerns. These reviews would also take customer
concerns into consideration prior to the launch s they may have
feedback from similar products previously purchased that did not live
up to the customers expectations.
Our marketing team would meet face to face with potential
customers during product exhibitions around the world. a During these
events, they would collect feedback at that time using online surveys
through handheld devices, or provide a link for the individuals to visit
later after the exhibition has ended. a This would be a convenient
option for them as they can provide valuable information on there
own time. a After the product launch, the customer will be provided
with a link or QR code to scan which will bring them directly to our
customer portal where they can provide anonymous feedback. Once
this feedback is gathered and sorted, it can be addressed in order
from greatest to least amount of concern.
Marketing and R&D are key teams when collecting feedback both
internally and externally. Marketing provides the feedback from
external sources and R&D from internal sources. When R&D is
designing the product, they need to know if the materials can be
made or sourced. If not, they can make the necessary design
adjustments to meet supplier capabilities. Marketing needs to collect
the key features that a customer is seeking. They will then provide
that data to R&D in hopes to capture that into the new product.
