Feedback is important part of any project or work environment, the
feedback can help develop a company into a better organization as
well as develop a product into the best it can be that will meet the
customer expectations. Utilizing the feedback loop will allow the
company to evaluate progress towards goals, and course correct
accordingly to meet them (Get2Growth, 2020).
Within the company we will seek feedback on the new product from
the corporate team down through the laborers in the manufacturing
plant to the dealers selling the cars. The buy in and feedback from the
CEO and corporate team is important they are the ones that green lit
the idea and have the data displaying the positive or negative return
on the new product. That’s just the start of making sure the product
will be the best it can, getting feedback from the employees at all
levels is paramount as well. The employee is the front line worker
who knows how well a product Is being produced and selling, they
also are the ones that are the most hands on with the product and the
customer which is where a lot of informal feedback develops as well.
A company taking feedback from it’s employees then acting on this
feedback with action plans and explaining how implementing these
specific actions will tie to the companies’ broader goal show the
employee the company cares about the input from both customers
and employees alike (Benjamin, 2016).
To move forward with the feedback loop for the EV being developed
we will follow the feedback loop design. We have developed a new
product that is being released in the U.S., being a new product it will
be important to collect sales data along with customer feedback on
the product. Surveys via email or online surveys will be the first route
used to collect data from the customer about the new product they
purchased and how they feel it is going. A second survey will be sent
to employees about the new product also asking about how they feel
the sales are going along with what feedback they can offer based on
their hands on experience with the new automobile, and the
interaction with the customers about the new automobile. A follow
up call and/or online email survey will be sent to the customer to get
feedback on the vehicle after it has been in service for half a year and
how the customer feels it is going/operating. The survey will solicit
feedback as well on how to develop the vehicle even more to meet
the expectations of the consumer.
Upon collecting all of the data it will be analyzed and an action plan
will be developed to address the survey responses from both the
employees and the customers. The most important actionable items
will be high priority, these will be items that are risk factors and need
immediate improvement for the employee’s safety and the consumer
who is operating the vehicle. Actionable items will go down the list in
order of priority with a detailed plan and actionable completion date
desired listed, as well as updates and milestone timeline so one can
follow the progress of the developing action plans along the way.
Feedback from customers and employees will help make this
company and the product the best it can be by addressing areas of
the business that need improvement (Dunne, 2018).
