a I was able to clearly and easily find information on AT&T's DEI
policy. The DEI webpage states, "At AT&T, inclusion is how we
unleash the power of diversity, and equity leads to equality for all."
There is also a document published that recaps their DEI initiatives
for the year 2018, 2019, and 2020 where they describe their
employee base as being, for example, 34.3% women and 65.7% men.
The team is made up of 229,055 employees from 67 different
countries. The documents mention they hiring of 7,000 individuals
with disabilities, 12,474 Veterans, and 3,300 LQBTQ+ individuals. I
found these documents to be interesting and yet, very excited to see
the diversity of AT&T's staff!
a There are numerous articles published that describe different
groups, research teams, and activities AT&T has done to support
diversity and things alike.
a I also appreciate that CSR page that is published. Here is where
you will read about all of the initiatives AT&T has taken to support
social responsibilities. They are organized by the categories
'Environment, Society, Governance, and Reporting'.
a The most recent initiative taken by the company is their partnership
with the math education app called Boddle. AT&T states that they
have joined Boddle to "make math interactive and fun for kids
through a multiplayer game and the exclusive AT&T AR Mode".
a Along side these objectives, AT&T has created a service provider
named 'FirstNet' that focuses on the support of first responders. This
will be where the new service technology, 'Locate before Route' will
be launched.
