Company position for DEI depends when the company recognizes the importance of
diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) but lacks a clear and comprehensive policy or initiative. As
a recommendation I think it’s better to develop and implement a formal DEI policy that outlines
the company's commitment, goals, and strategies to foster diversity and inclusion. Consider
establishing a dedicated DEI team or officer to oversee and drive initiatives.
I would say there should be definite steps to improve the diversity, Inclusive, and
Equitable Project. First should be to Implement blind recruitment practices to mitigate
unconscious biases during the hiring process. Then establish partnerships with organizations that
promote diversity in the workforce. Provide training on unconscious bias and inclusion for
existing team members. Then establish mentorship programs to support the professional
development of underrepresented team members. Regularly review and update HR policies to
ensure equity and fairness.
As a CSR I think Apple Inc. has a commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
evidenced by allocating 5% of annual profits toward charitable giving. Also, I think that the
product or service can align with the CSR program by incorporating sustainable practices, ethical
sourcing, or contributing to social causes. As a result, this emphasizes the product's alignment
with CSR in marketing and promotional materials. Highlight how purchasing the product
contributes to the company's philanthropic initiatives. Leverage this alignment as a competitive
tool, especially when targeting socially conscious consumer segments.
