“Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business
model that helps a company be socially accountable to itself, its
stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social
responsibility, also called corporate citizenship, companies can be
conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society,
including economic, social, and environmental.” (Fernando 2022)
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion (DEI) have become a huge part of the way companies do
business. The main focus of these two initiatives is ultimately based
upon the triple Bottom Line (TBL) framework. The TBL framework
consists of three aspects: Planet, People and Profit. In simplest terms, it
is incorporating the quality of life for employees and limiting global
emission while maintaining profit. Apple is committed to these values
and have made a promise to stay true to their initiatives. Using the
Reality Glasses to promote CSR will come in the form of recycling all
unused/ broken parts, donating a set number of glasses to
organizations, and utilizing transportation of the Reality Glasses in bulk
and with a vehicle that is the least detrimental to our planet. My project
teams will be encouraged to develop new ways to implement CSR
initiatives in our operational procedures and in reward they will receive
bonusses, job promotions, and raises. Another way to engage in these
practices would be donating to events or nonprofit organizations that
live out the mission to be the best in the DEI and CSR efforts. In our
hiring process, we will ensure that our hiring staff are equip with the
necessary tools and will be held accountable to their decisions.
Everyone who meets the qualifications of a job description deserves an
equal chance at a achieving the job.
