• What is the company's position on DEI? Do they have a clear
policy or initiative around it?
I would say that without a doubt that yes, on the company's website I
was able to find a report that was titled the "U.S. Diversity, Equity, and
Inclusion Report" The best way that I can summarize this report is from
Tesla's very own words, "the current state of our DEI position and
actions we are taking to engage with employees, candidates and
community members, as we encourage talented people from all
backgrounds to join us on our mission to accelerate the world’s
transition to sustainable energy. We look forward to sharing further
progress in future reports as we continue to innovate and enhance our
diversity, equity and inclusion practices." (Tesla, 2020). These words
for me put in perspective just how great of a company that Tesla is and
how much they care about their employees and what they want for
their employees. It is just truly amazing everything they are going to
continue to establish for everyone in the work force.
• What actions could you take to ensure a diverse, inclusive, and
equitable project team is assembled?
The actions that I would take would be to take charge of appointing the
people in charge and ensuring diversification all the way across the
bord from ethnicity, culture, and equity. I would ensure that I build my
team up and inspire them to have creative minds. I would have an open
door and ensure that my team can come to me with anything and
always talk to me about anything that crosses their minds. Equity is
important for ensuring that the team is going to be held accountable
and will have high standards!
• What is the company's commitment to CSR and how does it
affect their profitability or image in the market?
Every year Tesla has an annual impact report that goes over all of the
important data for the yearly impact. Tesla is most known for their
environmental impacts, social impacts, and governance which is known
as ESG.
• How does your product or service align with the company's CSR
program and how can you leverage this position as a competitive
tool?
The company is built around being environmentally friendly and
striving to continue these amazing strides that they have already
overcome. As the company continues down these amazing
accomplishments, they will only continue to do more and more amazing
things that are both environmental and social. The community around
Tesla is strong and really believe in everything that Elon has in store.
