Bath and Body Works has a positive approach to DEI and has posted an
article about how they pride themselves on the diversity of their
company. i In the article they describe their approach to hiring as
looking for diverse individuals and then retraining them, retaining them
and embracing them for who they are. The article also states that it is
important that we respect everyone and their choices. The CSR of the
company is clear on their website. The company is concerned and takes
pride in the triple bottom line. Their statement is "The bottom line is
only one measure of our worth. We are committed to doing well by
doing right. We are leaders in our communities, stewards of the
environment and making positive strides for better business practices.
" (BBWINC.com, 2022)
To ensure that a DEI team is assembled you would need to not only look
at higher education but all application that may be a good fit for the
team. For my purposes I would be looking for millennials from all walks
of life, gender, race, and backgrounds. I want to encourage a product
that appeals to everyone that I possible can and ensure that no matter
what route that we take we aren't overstepping or intruding on
someone's emotions. i My product also aligns with the company's CSR in
that it is triple bottom line friendly. It is all natural and created from
renewable resources.
