The requirements for a patent must be able to patent, must be new,
must be useful, and must be nonobvious. What seems to be lacking
from the plaintiff is that she thinks she has a patent on the process of
tracking people’s shopping habits, information, etc. Like Google does
that, she didn’t design that. And it’s not just Google, it’s all sorts of
companies that like to ask to save your information for a faster check
out.
