I have one specific question that needs to can be answered: how do I get to know
Adonai as a whole? He is a spirit, and Jesus told the Samaritan woman that
Adonai seeks to be worshipped in Spirit and truth. The children of Israel were
being led through the wilderness, and the glory of the Lord was shown, and they
saw it. My question is, what do that look for in regards to his glory. Also, I work in
a place where they allow many different religions. How can I tell them what they
practice is wrong? My personal goal is to draw closer to the Trinity and be aware
of all that is false. I want to gain wisdom through obtaining knowledge and
understanding. I do hope that through this course that I will gain and develop
through the sermon series. In this week's readings, I came to understand that we
as Westerners' have made Adonai too look like us, act like us, and be us. I am
guilty of this, and it breaks my heart to know that I have disappointed the Lord
by seeing Him/the Spirit as myself. How can I know someone or something only
through a developed faith? Or belief? I have had plenty of experiences with the
Lord, and I know it could have only been Him. (I chose to call God Him) He is
more than just an invisible spirit to me. He is my father because the one that was
used to be biological was very abusive; he is my best friend because all those
with whom I trusted betrayed me. He is my comfort because when I experience
depression, he makes me happy. I am on a quest to know more about the
Godhead, the Trinity, and each facet of the Three in one individually and
collectively. I do not want to see God as a science God; I want the one and true
Almighty God where I will know him by name because he knows me by my
name. He has even tattooed my name on the palm of his hand. 1I hope that the
more I come into the knowledge of the Lord, the more I will find the motivation to
spend time with him through prayer and fasting. There are so many people who
have no idea about knowing Him, experiencing Him, and accepting his love for
them. This is one area I would like to be displayed in my life. I am looking for a
change that will allow me to look, behave, and think like Jesus.1
