Hello, Janelle.
This is an excellent explanation. I completely agree with you; it is extremely difficult for a Christian to
express his religion because many people do not believe, and as a result, we Christian’s refrain from
speaking with our own culture in order not to offend it unintentionally. I also believe it is unfortunate
that faith in God can cause division in the community we live in, especially since God gave his life for us,
is the creator of the universe, and gives us the strength to move forward because we should be afraid
or ashamed to speak of him. I haven't had to hide my faith from those around me because they share
my values and beliefs, but I know that God commands his people to also spread his words to others. 2
Corinthians 2:14 reads, “but thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession,
and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” It is wonderful to see all
that God does for us through the Holy Spirit, who is the one who sustains us in times of adversity. How
could we not thank him and share our life testimony? We must strive not to hide our faith, but to bring
it to our community in a respectful manner, as well as to understand when and how to use our beliefs
in front of others.
Thank you for your precise and straightforward post. I liked how you said that we live in a world where
we want to fit in and make others happy. That, I believe, occurs frequently and is evident among those
who persecute a religion. When discussing our beliefs with those who don't know about our God, we
must try to respect others, though I would expect the same in return; never would I do something that
does not make me feel happy. I will never try to harm someone with my faith, but if I could project my
confidence, I would because it is so beautiful to talk about someone who gives us wisdom, the energy
to get up and pursue our dreams, and looks after our family and us. If we can, why not proclaim his
word? We must abandon our fear and use our values to reach the lives of others without making them
feel bad. I enjoyed seeing how this assignment made us feel connected to the topic. Your example was
excellent because I know it helped you so that we cannot sacrifice our happiness for others' well-being;
trusting and believing in a God, we do not harm others.
