Theo 107 DB 3
In this lecture, it is stated that the main idea or what was the author wanted us to focus on
is the deity of Jesus Christ. When it comes to the human side of Jesus Christ, we see a glimpse
of his human side but just because he was human it does not take away that Jesus Christ is God
in human form. There should be no doubt that Jesus Christ is God. This is why Jesus Christ had
to come to earth so that we could be forgiven of our sins because the shedding of animal blood
only covered temporarily and it did not cover our sins the way the sacrifice that God made
through the shedding of Jesus Christ blood which is a holy, pure and divine blood that has no
comparison with any other sacrifice.
Even though Jesus Christ was divine and God he still had to be borne in human form so
that He could accomplish his role as our Lord and savior. His sacrifice makes Him like our
lawyer and with his blood, he defends us to the father God so that we could be forgiven of our
sins if we accept him as our Lord and savior. I love the idea that I have a lawyer fighting for me
even though I do not deserve it and I am definitely a sinner, but Jesus sees us with other eyes
when we are washed with his blood. Jesus Christ had to experience what we go through and he
suffered because of us. We see how the Bible says that he cried, got angry, felt thirst and hunger
and even Satan tried to tempt him and Jesus Christ put him in his place telling him that you don’t
tempt your Lord God “Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your
God to the test”(Mathew 4:7, ESV).

Hello Denis;
I agree with you in this lecture they definitely do not emphasize the human side of Jesus
Christ. It is important to know that Jesus Christ was a human with all the same physical and
bodily functions as each and every one of us. The only difference is that Jesus Christ was divine
and conceived by God and not man. He was born like us and Mary was his carrier and she
raised him like any other child. Mary knew he was special because God told her. She must have
been at awe to see how that child grew and the intelligence he demonstrated since early
childhood. It was such a blessing to be chosen to take care of Jesus Christ the child and as a
human mother it must have been so hard to let go when your child is growing up and Jesus
Christ had a mission and he had to do His mission and Mary had to learn to let go of him fast.
Thank God Jesus Christ accomplished his mission because God loved us much, he did
everything so that we could live for eternity with him in heaven and not spend eternity in hell.
We are so ungrateful for the precious gift he gave us, and many reject it. I pray that many will
wake up and accept him before it’s too late.

Hello Jeremiah;
I agree that people are skeptical when it comes to Jesus Christ and the
Bible. I was thinking about it for a while on, how people would react to Jesus Christ if he was
walking amongst us today? People today do not believe even when they are looking right at it.
Our society has become so unbelieving and I think it has become worst because of all the scams
that are going around that people do not even believe practically their own mother. I think the
evil one uses it to his advantage to keep people from believing in the Bible and Jesus Christ as
their Lord and savior. Jesus gave us so much compassion and understanding that even hanging
on the cross he showed us how forgiving is the key. He had human compassion and Jesus
said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34, ESV). All these
feelings that he had of anger, compassion, and forgiveness to name a few are something that we
have to understand it is a human characteristic and Jesus Christ was Human even though he was
still or never stopped being God. He wanted to be an example because people learn more from
example than they ever would by hearing. Jesus wanted us to look not at our hurt feelings but to
look beyond and see why people act, say or do things that are hurtful so we could see their hurt
at the root. When we take a closer and deeper look, we could see that they to have pain and hurt
that is why they react the way they do. I pray that God opens all our eyes so we could
understand Jesus as a human and God so that we could extend that knowledge to others so they
could see Jesus Christ for who He is a Man and God!
