Reflection Essay Instructions
We started this course by considering that everyone is a theologian because everyone has thoughts
about God. You considered how you form your thoughts of who God is and what God does. In
Module/Week 1, you reflected on your experience with theology and your study of theology in the past.
For this module/week, you will write a 600-word essay answering the following 3 prompts that will allow
you to reflect on how you’ve grown in your understanding and study of theology.
1. How has your view of theology changed over the duration of this course? (approximately 200
words)
2. How have you been able to practice the principles you learned from the course in your own
life? (approximately 200 words)
3. How will you pass on the information you have learned in this course to those within your circle
of influence? (approximately 200 words)

The first half of is theo-, which means God in Greek. The suffix -logy means theology
"the study of," so means "the study of God" (vocabulary.com). This assignment's theology
description stated that "everyone is a theologian because everyone has thoughts about God."
With there being so many different religious denominations come many interpretations of the
Bible. I regularly attend a Christian church, and I like to think that my preacher is an intelligent
man who often speaks about his time learning theology and other things he learned while
attending college for ministry. We are currently on a series called "The Gospel Truth." In this
series, we have come to know that there are many lies or "half-truths," as my preacher calls it,
that we as Christians sometimes accept. I want to say that is what Theology is to me. It is the ins
and outs of God's word. It is a course to teach you how to read and understand God's word
correctly and sort through the misconceptions that many of us have grown accustomed to. As Dr.
