Throughout this 8-week course my understanding for theology has grown deeper.
Understanding the nature of who God is and what his plan for all humanity is has intertwined
within the fibers of my soul. Theology defines how God created something out of nothing. A
person that understands theology understands the blueprint God has designated for each person.
My knowledge throughout the duration of this course has continue to build a stronger
relationship with our heavenly father. Honestly my view of theology hasn’t changed. I still
believe as I always have that the word of God is the basic instructions before leaving this earth.
Every battle we encounter can be fought and conquered through the scriptures in the bible. I am
an advocate of prayer. A real champion of God will stay steadfast praying through the good and
bad. Thanking God for all his grace and mercy. As people, we forget to thank and call on God
not only during the bad seasons of life but the good seasons as well. God will never forsake his
believers or put more on us than we can bare. Therefore, I must continue to say my faith has
grown stronger over the duration of this eight weeks learning and studying the course material.
This summer was my first semester at Liberty University. I was filled with much
excitement but with equal amounts of nervousness mix with the reality I was back in school.
Fear and anxiety was trying to overthrow me. Not to forget, I was struggling mentually with the
fact, I am 32 years old and have been out of school for some years now. I almost allowed fear
and negative energy to cloud my mind. The fear of can I really obtain a bachelor’s degree tried
to get the best of my mental state. Through faith and prayer God helped ease my mind and place
it in my soul that this is my season to prosper. Only God can open doors that no man can shut.
Completing my first semester at Liberty University has been rewarding within itself. Learning to
prioritize school along with working full-time has taught me many things. God’s plan can be
obtained through persistence’s and hard work. Through daily practice of keeping the word of
God first in every step ordered in my life I put application to all subject matter learned in this
course. I thank God for the chance to be learning a career that is affiliated with the word of God
daily.
I attend Sunday school regularly. It’s amazing how much my participation has soared in
the discussions due to the fact a lot of the course material has overlapped with the Sunday school
lessons throughout this summer. Having knowledge and understanding makes it easier to spread
correct information to other believers in my circle. I believe Sunday school is a very good source
of nutrients for the soul. It gives people the chance to join in an open discussion about the
scriptures. Sunday school feeds my soul. The goal and sole purpose of Sunday school is to
spread the truth and bring people to a clear clarity of God’s words. Another activity I would like
to activate within my circle of influences is a weekly bible study group. Its important to join in
groups of at least two or more and fellowship on the words of God. God loves to be worshipped.
He adores his believers and will never forsake us. All we must do is call on him from sun up to
sundown. In the world, we reside in today it is very important that all people find time in their
weekly routine to sit in the heavenly places feeding off the scriptures. It makes us feel better
spiritually.
