Part One: What is Biblical Worldview?
Biblical Worldview is how christians act based on what God’s truth is. What’s
believed is that the bible has listed the morals that humanity should follow, they believe that
there is an all-knowing; all-mighty God. They choose to believe this because they believe the
bible is entirely true so therefore they use it as their main foundation for their (biblical)
worldview. The bible talks about biblical worldview in different passages: Romans 12:2 “Do not
conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what God’s will is– His good, pleasing and perfect will.”, 1
Corinthians 2:12“What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the spirit who is from
God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.”, Colossians 2:8“See to it that no
one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human
tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”, Ephesians 2:1-2
“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you
followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at
work in those who are disobedient.”

Part Two: Contemporary Issues with Abortion
There are a lot of arguments and discussions that go on because of the topic of Abortions.
Most of the time the arguments are whether or not everyone should be either pro-life or
pro-choice. People tend to assume if you are pro-life you don’t care about anyone’s emotional or
3
physical status is that individual is or has gotten an abortion. On the other hand some people who
are pro-life assume negative things about people who are pro-choice. However, pro-choice
people have been quoted saying that with pro-life it is never about the children, there are whole
articles about how some people think that anyone should be allowed an abortion no matter the
situation, even if there isn’t exactly a “situation” but simply that they want an abortion. They
both tend to stand in different spots with their morals. Both pro-life and pro-choice make
interesting points and they both have their ups and downs in their points.

Part Three: Pro-Life versus Pro-Choice
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male
and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27, God states that he has created everyone in HIS own
image. A lot of people claim the reason they want an abortion is because of the fact that the
unborn child wasn’t planned, some even go as far as saying it was an accident or mistake.
However, God created everyone in His image, so if those unborn children were mistakes
wouldn’t that mean God made a mistake? In a few other verses God says, “Lo, children are an
heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalms 127:3, “For behold, this is
my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” Moses 1:39,
“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’”
Jeremiah 1:4-5. While people are arguing saying how, they think, pro-choice does not mean they
support abortions but it just means they support women making the choice if they want to bring
life into the world or not. They make a good point however in most situations it does mean being
4
pro-abortion. And then there are the people saying that being pro-life means being pro-life at all
stages of life, from the minute the fetus is formed and through its entire life. People like to argue
on if it is morally right to be pro-life or pro-choice, but rarely does anyone look to God’s word to
see what he says. God says you are made in his image, so you are.
(Word Count 299)
Conclusion:
Being pro-life or pro-choice is generally about religion and where someone stands
politically, but it doesn’t make someone a bad person whether they choose to be all for pro-life or
for pro-choice.
