Everyone has a worldview but not everyone shares the same worldview. Every person
has a worldview that influences his or her beliefs and actions (Ed Hindson, 2016). In other
words, a “worldview” is someone’s perspective of life, and how they choose to see the world.
Christians are faithful to a Biblical Worldview, a perspective that reflects God’s words, and the
values of the bible. Understanding what it means to have a Biblical Worldview shapes the
person God has called for you to be.
It all began with God. (Genesis 1:1). “God created the heavens and the earth” (Ben
Gutierrez and Lew Weider, 2002, pg. 84). We all know the story of Adam and Eve, how Eve
knew better but didn’t do better when eating the forbidden fruit from the only tree God had
told her not to eat from causing her to steer away from what she knew to be true about God
(Genesis 3:1). In the chapter, we understand that Adam and Eve were uniquely created by God
(Genesis 2:21-22). According to Gutierrez & Weider, (2000) “The rest of His creation was
spoken into existence.”
After reading Ed Hindson, (2016) on the four arguments that provide approval of the
existence of God. The Cosmological Argument argues that “for anything that exists there is an
explanation of its existence, and in the case of the universe, any explanation apart from God
fails to adequately give a reason for the origin of life” (pg. 16). In other words, a believer in
Christ knows that the only explanation for the existence of the universe and/or procreation
comes from the existence of God. A nonbeliever suggests that the only explanation of the

existence of the universe comes from science theories that can’t be fully proven.
According to Gutierrez & Weider, (2000) “Humankind was distinct from the
animal kingdom. He was distinct from plants and planets. Nothing was made like Adam and
Eve” (pg. 86). God created man and woman to reflect God (Genesis 1:26-28). Since we are
descendants of Adam and Eve, we too have the same potential in characteristics as they had,
loving and giving (2 Corinthians 9:6-8) only since we possess the influences of their actions, we
must fight harder for those characteristics that came so easy to Adam and Eve before they were
disobedient towards God.
According to Wilson (2022) “the Bible begins with God, and that is where man’s purpose
begins too.” God tends to accomplish all he has planned to do (Isaiah 46:9-10). What is so good
about God’s grace is that he not only doesn’t need us, but he wants us. Christians know that we
cannot fulfill our purpose without God at the center. God purposes for humanity goes back to
the beginning when he created heaven and earth, he wanted humankind to grow (Genesis
1:28). Humanity purpose is to serve and obey God, showing love to others and sharing his
words. I want my purpose and life to align with the purpose he has already planned for
(Jeremiah 29:11) and if you have air in your lungs, that’s God letting you know we still have
work to do. Those who seek God and study his word know we are here to make heaven
crowded.
After reading Ed Hindson, (2016) on the four arguments that provide approval of the
existence of God. The Moral Argument argues that “without God, there can be no true sources
of morality” (pg. 19). When God created us, he gave us free will, and the sense of consciousness
to decide right from wrong (Romans 2:15). According to (Black, 2012) “Christian morality helps

us discover how we should live our lives as a result of our faith in God’s word” We have a
responsibility as followers of Christ to live and love like he did for us. Christians prioritize
morality and apply it to our lives, God simply tells us to love, not only ourselves but our
neighbors no matter what (Matthew 22:37).
According to Ed Hindson, (2016) “the Bible expresses commands, principles, and
guidelines for successful living and right relationships” (pg.25). We as Christians are held to
Biblical Worldview, so we accept and grasp God’s truth through scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Having a Biblical Worldview allows me to build relationships with my family, I was born into a
Christian household and have family who were and/or are pastors but when I started to build a
relationship with God on my own, I learned how to study God’s word and apply it to my life.
Having a Biblical Worldview gives me perspective on not only my own beliefs but helps me
understand and communicate my faith to others holding other worldviews. Whether it’s work,
when I vote or when I am conversing with someone, having a worldview allows me to ask
myself what Jesus would do and apply the bibles values to my experiences (Ephesians 5:1-2).
