The Grand Narrative
I enjoyed reading Wolter's discussion the Grand Narrative. "To miss of the grand
narrative the Scripture of is a serious matter; it is not simply matter a of
misinterpreting parts Scripture. of It is a matter being oblivious which story of to
is shaping our lives (Wolters, p.125)." Understanding the Grand Narrative 2005, is
a good reminder not just look to at the bible stories as stories, but to understand
deeper. The stories are telling a story how everything began, why of things
happened, how the power the gospel changes everything, and how of we can
apply that in our lives - The creation, fall, and redemption.
"The Christian church is called live out the power the gospel and make to of of
the kingdom known in all departments of human life. In part that means
interpreting the world through the lens of 2005, the gospel, (Wolters, p 141)."
How I apply this insight into do my research area Trauma Psychology? in
Trauma Psychology focusing on those who have experienced trauma in their
lives and how to cope from integrated perspective Christianity and science. an of
"The general population surveys countries across six continents found that in 24
more than adults are exposed 70% of to a potentially traumatic event, such as
child maltreatment, interpersonal violence, natural disaster, war serious or
accident, some point their at in lives (Benjet et al., 2016)."
