I enjoyed reading your topic on, "employer and employee relationship: problem-
solving and stability in the work environment and putting that together with
Wolter's view on the Grand Narrative.
As someone who works in the corporate world, it encourages me to just think
about the day-to-day challenges, but how we can look at it through a biblical view
in my life. I hadn't thought about working being part of the fall, but that is what
God told Adam in Genesis 3:17, "To Adam he said, "And to Adam he said,
“Because you have listened to the voice of your wife b and have eaten of the tree
of which I commanded you, b ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because
of you; b in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; (English Standard
Version Bible, 2001, Genesis 3:17)."
As I go through my day-to-day challenges in the workplace, I can remember that
although there is more to this, I can find a way to be the light. I can find a way to
help resolves issues in different segments of the workplace. I can make a
difference and not just think of it as getting a check.
Thank God for his resurrection, for hope. "It begins with the creation of all things
and ends with the renewal of all things (Wolters, 2005, p. 126)
