and inspire others through their actions. They are knowledgeable
individuals who have proficiency in the domain. They are known to spend
a great deal of time studying as well as contemplating different topics.
This allows them to enhance their knowledge on those topics and enables
them to communicate that knowledge and truth to other people. At the
core of thought leadership is the ability to earn credibility and trust
(Church et al., 2011). Thought leaders get noticed by providing individuals
with something different such as valuable insights, ideas, and information.
A thought leader can be said to be a subject matter expert having unique
perspectives or insights to share with other people relating to their area of
expertise or proficiency.
