Abstract
This review critiques The Integration of Psychology and Christianity: A Domain-Based
Approach by William Hathaway and Stephen Yarhouse. In this book, Hathaway and Yarhouse
provide a strong and expressive presentation supporting the integration of psychology and
Christianity. In this book the five domains of integration are discussed in a way that is
understood by both novices and professionals in the field. Along with the domains is information
that leads to the positive aspects of integrating Christianity and Psychology. This review shows
the positive and negative aspects of integration as well as how the integration process would be
applicable in the field of developmental psychology.

Summary
Hathaway and Yarhouse approach the integration of Christianity and psychology in a
manner that is inclusive to faith believers as well as those who lean more toward a scientific
mentality. The book details how faith and scientific methods being combined in treatment can
lead to more detailed treatment plans that are person-centered.
