Interview Questions
For this case study, one of the questions of this interview would be, “What part of reading
does Justin struggle with, word recognition, letter sounds, etc.?” In asking this question, the team
could establish a point to begin and then be able to develop a plan to get Justin to read on the
level at which he needs to be. Another question I would ask the team is, “What are the triggers
that make being on task for Justin difficult?” This question can aid in eliminating the triggers or
helping Justion develop coping mechanisms for these triggers that distract him. Lastly, I would
ask the parents, “What about school is making Justin reluctant in wanting to attend?Asking this
question can help in discovering whether the issue is something mental, emotional, physical, or a
combination. This question will help discover the depth of Justin’s struggles which can help the
team fabricate a plan both in and out of school.
Case History
In reviewing Justin’s case study, there are many things that can be noted to be extremely
helpful in this situation. As I begin to go over Justin’s case study data, one of the first things I
would want to review is when the issues with Justin began. This could show if there was a
significant event prior to these occurrences that led to this point in Justin’s academic struggle.
Another area that I would also like to review in Justin’s case study is what plans have been
implemented thus far regarding Justin’s care plan. This information can tell me what has or has
not worked as far as treating the present issues. One other area of interest of this case study
would be the behavioral component, as to see what Justin’s behavior was prior to the present
problem as well as how it has progressed into the current behavioral issues.
