Abstract
According to (Kalat, 2019), "Emotions are a difficult subject to talk about
because they involve conscious feelings that we cannot observe." When a person to
define the term emotion, they are not able to define this complex term because it is a
wide term that has a broad definition. The different components need to be
determined to better understand emotions and the aspects that contribute to emotions.
The influence of emotions will be examined in this study. This research has
performed literature review to discuss the connection between brain and emotions, the
mechanism or working of emotional systems, the relationship between hormones and
emotions, the link between sexual activity and emotions, and also biblical worldview.
"Today, emotions are the only area where a lot of research aims to identify parts of
the experience, to enumerate some 'core' feelings."

Emotional Behaviors
Introduction
Despite their reputation as complex subjects, emotions and emotional acts are
fascinating and instructive subjects. With complexity comes complexity, and with
complexity comes knowledge of the subject of emotions. There is no one-size-fits-all
solution, and as you begin your research on emotions, you will quickly discover that
many variables affect an individual emotional issue. This research is conducted to
investigate the effects of emotions, the connection of emotions with brain, hormones,
and sexual activities. The mechnism or working of emotions is also studied in this
research. "Today, this is the only area where many studies aim to identify parts of the
experience, to list certain 'essential' emotions, writes the author (Kalat, 2019).
The purpose of the research is to study emotional behaviours. Emotional
behaviors are hard to define and discuss but this research will help to define or
describe the connection between the brain and emotions will be discussed in this
research. The research will also discuss the mechanisms of emotions and how they
work. The relationship between hormones and emotions is also discussed. This study
will also present the connection between sexual activities and emotions.
Literature Review
Brain and Emotions
This topic is under research for a longer period of time. Many researchers have
studied the relationship and connections between the brain and emotions. The link
between brain and emotions have been researched by various researchers. Also, there
are many research papers, research articles and hypotheses developed by the authors

based on the combination of these two terms (brain and emotions). Moreover, this
comes with a multitude of viewpoints. And every researcher has different viewpoint
to be discussed. Besides this, there is one principle which remains constant which is:
that there is a link between the brain and emotions. "A belief in a set of basic
emotional states, with names such as fear, anger, joy, disgust, and sadness, which do
not specify the type or age of the perpetrator experiencing it, the origin of the situation
or the evidence used to infer it is slowing progress in understanding the relationship
between brain profiles and emotions." (Kagan, 2018). While it is obvious that each
person and language has their own way of classifying what an emotion is and what it
means to them or their culture, all of this speaks to the psychological bases of learning
one's experiences and characteristics. These labels are a way of labelling when a
person's feelings or thoughts change. This reaffirms the apparent that the brain and
emotions are inextricably linked and that one's initial observations may lead one to
believe that the two areas are unrelated (Kagan, 2018).
Mechanism of Emotions
When a person thinks about the processes of the mechanism of emotion, they
can also think about the "how" of emotion. However, to understand the "how", one
must first study the pathways of emotion and the equipment used in emotional action.
Emotions are well acknowledged to have a huge impinging on our daily life. There's a
lot to think about, from brain processes to mood fluctuations. Emotions and their
functioning are at the centre of both situations. However, why does no one ask the
question? Do emotions get to the point where you wonder why "how" did they get
there? "How" lies in the mechanism of using emotional strategies. "However, over the
past 130 years, these methods have come a long way, and many new methods have

been developed, ranging from questionnaires, mood induction and experience
sampling to fMRI, heart rate monitoring and hormone testing" (Bachard, 2017).
Hormones and Emotions
Women are aware that the end of the month might bring out aspects of
ourselves that we don't always enjoy. To wrap up on the sofa and hug our heating
pads, people typically seek chocolate, ice cream, and vintage movies. "These
hormones have taken over my life" or "My emotions have taken over my life." When
you understand the link between hormones, emotions, and emotional behaviour, it's
not unexpected. "Female sex hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone, affect
mood and cognition, leading to behavioral differences between men and women.
Second, women react to stress differently than men, which can be related to the stage
of the estrous cycle "(ter Horst et al., 2012).
Emotions during sexual activity
`When you think of sexual activity, emotions aren't the first thing that comes to
mind. When you think of your sex life or sexual activity, the word "emotional" doesn't
immediately come to mind. However, many studies have shown that emotions and
sexual activity are linked (Weiss et al., 2019). "Compared to men without sexual
problems, men with sexual dysfunction experienced significantly less pleasure and
satisfaction, while experiencing much more sadness, frustration, and fear." "Women
with sexual dysfunction reported lower levels of pleasure and satisfaction, as well as
unhappiness, frustration, shame, and anger" (Houck et al.,2014).
This study looked at sexually functional men and women and sexually
dysfunctional men and women. The study found that the most depressed men and
6

women were considered dysfunctional. Women classified as melancholy or shy do not
experience such pleasure during sex. "The findings are consistent with previous
studies suggesting that emotions associated with depressive affect (sadness,
frustration, and loss of pleasure) were stronger predictors of sexual dysfunction than
negative emotions (primarily associated with anxiety)" (Houck, Swenson, Donenberg,
Papino, Emerson and Brown, 2014).
Biblical Worldview Integration
`Unlike sexual activity and emotional systems, I believe that the biblical
worldview and emotions are inextricably linked. When one person thinks of the other,
the other person thinks of them as well. Every life decision we make has an effect on
our mental and emotional health. We grieve when a loved one dies or when we have
to attend a funeral. Even if they are definitions of emotions, they are reactions to the
flesh of the world. God has given us feelings since the beginning of time to
experience the beautiful, the terrible, and everything in between. Jesus himself
expressed his sentiments.
According to the Bible John 11:35, "Jesus wept. It will be our chance if we
feel sorry for us, or we will get rid of our time. Sinners, we have as sales, cramped for
the perfect and the non-everyday" (Infante, 2014). According to Hebrew 12:22, "let us
focus our eyes on the creators of our faith and the radiant one who was crucified with
joy, minimized his shame and sat at the right hand of God" (Brown, 2021). We live
and learn as we go through life. Some days are more difficult than others, which
returns us to our central issue of emotions and emotional behaviour. We can only
really live and experience life if we also fully experience the emotions that
accompany it. We desire for the tension, fear, and longing to subside for a few days.

But beyond that, some emotions make us feel the good things in life. Without these
pleasant sensations, one can never be free from melancholy, anxiety or fear. The value
of pleasant sensations makes us grateful, even when we do not feel good, because
these are emotions that allow us to feel, to express ourselves.
Conclusion
The research concludes that emotions are challenging to discuss since they
entail conscious feelings that we cannot see. When asked to describe the term
emotion, some people may be unable to do so due to the subject's complexities. It is
vital to define the various components to better comprehend emotions and the factors
that influence them. The impact of emotions will be investigated in this study. The
brain and emotions, emotional systems, hormones and emotions, sexual activity and
emotions, and biblical worldview and emotions are all things to examine. Most
studies currently focus solely on identifying components of experience and a few key
experiences in the realm of emotions.
