Substance Experimentation and the Youth Group
We must emphasize the risks to both their physical health and emotional well-being when
we discuss the dangers of alcohol and drug use with young people in a youth group. Additionally,
we should explain how drug use can lead us to turn away from God and our religion. Alcohol
and drug use are correlated with psychological diseases, such as anxiety and sadness, according
to research. (Hutzel, 2023). Drugs or alcohol are a major risk factor for people dealing with
mental health problems, as they are linked to higher suicide and self-harm rates. Not only that,
but drug and alcohol abuse can also trigger mental health problems, exacerbating pre-existing
conditions or causing newly developed ones. The most significant messages in this book for
youth groups are religious messages about the potentially negative effects of alcohol and drug
use. These messages emphasize the importance of having friends who share your beliefs and
staying connected to God through practices like prayer, attending religious services, and reading
Scripture. (Alford, 2021). Guidance on how to maintain a close relationship with God can be
provided through activities such as daily prayer, regular attendance at religious services, and
daily reading of the scriptures. These activities can help individuals feel closer to God and
maintain a strong relationship with Him. The most significant detail in this text is that the
messages are based on spiritual principles. These messages can be used to have a meaningful
conversation with teenagers in youth groups about the potentially harmful effects of alcohol and
drug abuse.
There are many messages offered through these services that emphasize the importance
of faith in God, building a group of friends who share similar beliefs, and maintaining a deep
spiritual connection through practices such as daily prayer, attending religious services
frequently, and reading scripture daily. The practice of praying daily, attending religious services

regularly, and reading the scriptures regularly can show you how to sustain a strong relationship
with God. (Alford, 2021). This is if you engage in the same activities. The text emphasizes the
importance of maintaining a healthy connection with God and creating a strong network of peers
with similar values.
