Research Writing Style Assignment
For aspiring researchers, effectively documenting findings is an essential skill for
successfully disseminating knowledge within the scholarly community. The purpose of this paper
is to provide detailed guidance on how to properly produce papers following the American
Psychological Association (APA) protocol, which is recognized as the standard for publishing
academic papers For periodicals new to this process, and to familiarize students with the latest
standards; it is essential to ensure that they are prepared to produce college-level papers and
contribute their future research findings after graduation to the APA community.
APA Formatting Concepts
In APA format, five distinct headings are available for effectively structuring your
document. Each heading provides clear organization within the paper, offering readers a preview
of the main focus of the upcoming paragraph. A level three heading is employed flush left
boldface, italicized, and the first letter of the first word and the first letter of all significant words
in the heading are capitalized. The text begins with a new paragraph (APA, 2019, page 49).
Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
The DOI, which stands for Digital Object Identifier, is a unique character and spelling
code associated only with research publications(Style Guide for Chicago Manual Footnotes:
History Department: Hanover College, n.d.). It's generally located at the top right corner of an
article and serves as a hyperlink to the article's online location. Since 2000, all newly published
research articles have received a DOI, and many older publications have been assigned one after
a review. The presence of a DOI changes the way a paper cites a source. When quoting a source
with a DOI, include the DOI in your reference. For accuracy, the DOI needs to be copied and
pasted to avoid additional punctuation or punctuation in the DOI (APA, 2019).

Introduction to Research Textbook
Textbook citations in the research introduction follow a slightly different format than
conventional book citations. When citing a particular text from a textbook, one must include the
author's last name (or authors) and the page number. When listing a textbook on a reference
page, the process is similar to quoting a traditional book. But because it's an online resource, it's
essential with the URL. You can find detailed guidance on this in the APA Handbook on page
257 (APA, 2019).
Recorded Webinars
When citing lecture material in your coursework, follow the usual format, which includes
citing the source in parentheses immediately after paraphrasing or citing. Frequently include the
first initial of the person to whom you gave the talk, followed by their last name, indicating that
this is a personal communication. In addition, include the month, day, and year of the talk. This
approach ensures that you properly acknowledge the source in your writing and adhere to
citation conventions (A. Instructor, personal contact, Day of the Month, Year of the Lecture).

The APA Publication Manuel
A strong understanding of how to properly cite the APA literature is precious for the
conclusion of this paper, given the number of times I have drawn from it. The APA publication is
a collaborative effort by a group of authors, so that the citation style will reflect this collaborative
writing. Since the American Psychological Association is widely recognized and there is no risk
of confusion in another source with the same acronym, it can be abbreviated in-text citations and
year published. Textual citations will include the brief with the year of publication. The citation
on the reference page will consist of authors (APA), year of publication, full title of the item,

version number, and the URL used to access it. Detailed guidance can be found on page 267 of
the APA Handbook (APA, 2019).
Religious and Classical Works
Referring to a play in religious or ancient literature or text follows a specific pattern
compared to quoting a regular book or online article. In in-text citations, you include the name of
a religion or scripture, followed by a chapter, paragraph, and line rather than a page number as,
when citing the story of Tabitha and Peter from Acts Acts 9:36 no -42, King James Version
(1769/2017). King James Version, 1769/2017, Acts 9:36-42). These sources are treated like
standard bibliographies when they are included in the references section. Ensure that references
include the reprint date or translator information. You can find detailed instructions on this on
pages 273 and 302 (APA, 2019) of the APA Handbook.
Library Resources
The Jerry Falwell Library is an invaluable resource for Liberty University students,
providing a wide variety of information to support their academic work throughout their careers.
While surfing the library website, I found several resources for intellectual and practical
purposes and significant studies. These include links to peer-reviewed articles and cross-
references, essential for research purposes, especially when processing research papers. In
addition, the library provides comprehensive access to archival data, increasing the depth and
breadth of available research resources. Notably, a dedicated network for doctoral students offers
essential support for those working toward their doctoral degree at Liberty. Also, the library
facilitates the formation of available staff knowledge to help students find vital information,
ensuring a rich research experience.

In conclusion, this paper has served as a comprehensive guide for new and experienced
researchers in appropriate documentation and organization following American Psychological
Association (APA) guidelines—adequate labeling is essential for disseminating knowledge
within the scholarly community. To understand the subtleties of APA symmetry resolutions, such
as subject matter, digital goods (Dois), textbook management, webinars, religion, or ancient
work, high-quality academic papers are needed for the academic papers and valuable resources
of Jeri provided by Falway Library for all the educational tours. As researchers, adopting and
refining these APA guidelines ensures the quality of college papers and prepares individuals to
contribute meaningfully to the APA community with their future research efforts.
