Abstract
In today’s world, we are constantly evolving and learning what helps our life be the life that we
want to find pure bliss living in. Some of us want to live with God at our side as well as there’s
other’s who walk the spiritual realm and connect more with the universe. What do those two
have in common? It’s the way that we find it comfortable living our unique lives the way we
chose to do so. The motivation and purpose to what we see have value to our destiny, to our
purpose. What can strive an individual to keep going? What is the science behind the reason why
this person may have had a very bad upbringing and still choose to keep going forward? Or to
even get out of bed in the morning. It can be hard, hearing stories of those who were at the very
end of the rope but for some reason, neurologically, a spark went off on their brain and they
decided to keep going against all odds. It’s a beautiful sight to see. Any motivation is valid. Any
value is valid, and Any purpose is valid as long as it’s something that gives back good. I am here
today, another blessed day, to give my future self a purpose. Having almost taken my life at 13,
God gave me another chance and for that spark, my motivation keeps going, the grinding
continues and the angels keep singing.

To live a life without purpose is to see complete darkness each and every single day. This
life we were given is a gift from our almighty God. He chose us to send his message out and
spread love and kindness. When we think of the words “Intrinsic motivation” and “Extrinsic
motivation” our minds can recognize keywords within to make sense of what it means. For
instance, “Intrinsic” comes from within one’s own guided self. Another word to help remember
is “In” meaning this is the motivation that comes from with’in’ you. “Extrinsic” means having
the motivation in completing a task in order to receive a reward at the end. Another way to think
of Extrinsic is the “Ext”; ‘Ext’ra motivation in order to eat sweets? Oh yeah!
The differences between both words are very unique yet alike. While keeping a great
attitude, it is important to keep motivation within you in hopes that as much good as you give in
to the world, the more good you’ll receive back. Keeping little, but multiple goals and motivation
in order to have rewards or reach milestones can be rewarding itself within an individual. It is
important to keep these thoughts in mind. It makes life seem THAT much simpler. Knowing that
our motivation, values, and purpose all tie back to one opinion and that is ours to keep and have.
Every day we nurture ourselves and grow more than the day before. It’s a great reminder to keep
going despite how troubling one may feel.
Looking back at (Figure 1.1) “Chapter 1: Introduction to Psychology” we see an image of
what Purpose can mean to us. The purpose is what we need to keep striving for more. Many of
us have “ Passion, Missions, Vocations, Profession, and etc.” (Figure 1.1 CH. 1) all these things
give us a purpose to light the motivation we have. It’s a safe reminder that it’s indeed an
important word for us to keep close to our hearts and mind if we’d like to strive for more. It’s
almost if you were to lose motivation, you’d lose purpose. These two purposely go both hands in
hands.

Any reason is a reason. It may seem small to another person but to that individual
it means a lot more than one may think. My motivation, light, pusher, and so forth is to further
my education in a field I have had many experiences with as an adolescent. To be the person I
needed more when I was at youngin. My motivation is both Intrinsic and Extrinsic, it’s a reward
for myself, my younger self and a thank you to my future self.
