Introduction
Due to America's reputation within foreign relations being the most influential country;
the country has created its own American National Style when dealing with foreign policies and
affairs. Through the American National Style, there is an influential response following the
ideologies of America regarding foreign policy strategies. The American National Style better
helps policymakers understand what is needed to fulfill the standard of American responses
within foreign affairs. With the American National Style representing the standard of responses
of foreign affairs; the American National Style has the mission to attempt to establish order and
protection of common interests and common values. "The American National Style has the goal
to preserve common values while protecting common interests" (Hastedt 2020) The presence of
the American National Style is represented through the American response to the Russian and
Ukrainian War. Millions of aid were given to Ukraine to help Ukraine win the war against
Russia. This support comes from The American National Style due to Ukraine being an
ally(value) along with the concern of Russia concurring with Ukraine creating a bigger power for
the United Nations and The American National Style to respond to. (common interest) The
American National Style aims to gain meaningful military experience, and geological strategies,
provide and protect resources along gain political influence and relevance worldwide. Over the
development of American society, there has become an adaptation of the American National
Style when responding to foreign affairs. This can be understood through the many edits made
over the years due to differential policymakers creating different solutions to model as a system
of influence within foreign policies. Providing pragmatism and experience to the development of

the American National Style it is likely a developed effective system to better represent the
values and interests of the American people effectively within foreign relations.
The American National Style in Foreign Policy
The American National Style response is separated into three different categories to
better understand the process within foreign policy. "There are three categories; the past, the
principles, and pragmatism." (Hoofman 1968) The last category within the American National
Style consists of the historical representation of America in previous foreign affairs. Along with
this the past also identifies previous policies created by the American National Style and how to
improve along with what can be learned from these previous policies. Through different
principles in the American National Style, there is a linear response to success in addressing
foreign affairs. One of the principles that is most represented within the American National Style
is the use of political pluralism. Political pluralism is defined as promoting diversity and
permitting peaceful coexistence. This concept further helps the interactions of foreign policy
with American values, experiences, and challenges. Finishing the American National Style
concepts, there is pragmatism. Pragmatism is seen as the duty to protect human rights around the
world along with the promotion of democracy and freedom. This concept is most represented
within the American National Style due to America's representation and influences through
involvement in foreign affairs. The freedoms represented by American policies in the American
National Style include the land of the free, the protection of human rights, promotion of
governmental systems to provide freedoms. Ensuring democracy and human rights freedoms is
the common mission of the National American Style however ensuring the representation of the
three principles creates a heightened in the power along influence of the American National Style
within foreign affairs.

How has the American National Style helped Policymakers learn for the
Past?
Since the beginning of America's independence, America has been very involved and
influential in foreign policies and affairs. Through failures and successes, there is a vast amount
of knowledge to learn from the American response to foreign affairs in the past along in the
modern day. Through Wars, Proxy Wars, and proving resources; whether this is military or
humanitarian aid. The American National Style has always offered a response to foreign affairs;
not only on behalf of the country of America but also American allies. One of the pieces of
knowledge gained from America's past is the Vietnam-Nixon Doctrine. The Vietnam-Nixon
Doctrine was in aim to prevent the involvement of the American Military in a proxy war.
However, still provided the resources and geological solutions to the country in need. In other
words, after the Vietnam War and the Paris Peace Accord were signed in 1973; Nixon created
this doctrine to ensure America did not send troops over to wars that wherein the result of a
proxy war. However, America could and still would provide the necessary resources needed to
aid in their ally succeeding through the war. President Dixon was successful in creating a
doctrine to provide the resources necessary (weapons and aid) the help allies counter suffrage
from war distress, however, decreased the involvement of 'boots on the ground'. This doctrine
was highly supported by the common interests of the American people due to the damages left
after the Vietnam War. Through American policymakers and citizens having the common
interest to support less involvement 'boots' wise, this doctrine was enacted into law shortly after
the proposal. However, there was something learned following the passing of this doctrine.
While many disapproved of the American National Style continuing the production and
distribution of war materials, there was the benefit of morale due to troops not being deployed

along with other deviances created by wartime domestic complications decreasing significantly.
An example of what can be learned from a failure of the past regarding the American National
Style can be seen in Obama's presidency through the "leading from behind" initiative. Through
this initiative in 2011 President Obama created a solution to the role of the American National
Style in Iraq by removing American military influences in Iraq and Afghanistan. With a drastic
military budget cut during Obama's presidency, Obama proposed a smaller group of trained
military individuals to handle situations rather than an entire military. Obama focused on smaller
military groups like SEALS to conduct missions from behind the war zone instead of a full
military presence. The first 'test' of his incitive was in Libya. The American military group was
in efforts with the French and British to end terrorism in Libya and restore peace. This mission
however resulted in the death of one American military personnel along with the collapse of the
Libya Government. (Rothkopf 2014) This initiative was seen throughout Obama's presidency as
the worst mistake of his career resulting in critiques like "ill-American and always bound to fail."
(Hastedt 2020) Negative or positive there is always something to be learned through the analyses
of the American National Style past.
Does the American National Style Support CWW?
While the American National Style does promote the Christian Worldview ideologies
through pragmatism it also cannot be in support of the Christian Worldview due to its active and
undeniable support and or funding of wars. The American National Style does represent a factor
of the Christian Worldview through pragmatism or the representation and protection of human
rights. The American National Style is too deviant to represent the Christian Worldview
regardless of one similarity. The direct violation of human rights through the production of wars

with the support of the American National Style is not plausible to be represented as a Christian
Worldview.
Conclusion
Through the changes in society, there have been differential approaches to the American
National Style. Through influences and values changing among American Policymakers and
citizens, there was a need for the American National Style to represent this flexibility. There is a
knowledge within looking into the American National Styles core categories that represent the
foundation of the style. Through the styles past, principles, and representation of pragmatism,
one can interpret how the American National style conducts foreign affairs through its
policymakers. However, one can also interpret the lack of representation when it comes to the
Christian Worldview other than the common similarity of pragmatism. All in all, it is important
to understand the National American Style to understand how policymakers are going to
represent America in foreign affairs.
