Ethical Reflections
Introduction
Discriminating employees based on their religion and beliefs undermines their capacity to
perform exemplary. The Bible condemns discrimination, laziness, and advocates for justice for
employees at the workplace (Bennett-Alexandar & Hartman, 2019). In addition, the Bible
encourages people to be hardworking, listen and obey their masters. Employers are warned not to
misuse their employees. In the United States, people of color face discrimination at the
workplace more. The scripture emphasizes treating all people with the dignity and respect they
deserve.
Workplace Justice
In a Christian setting and culture, the Bible is the final authority, and believers should
practice the teachings. The Bible outlines principles that protect human beings from harmful
thoughts and behavior (Bennett-Alexandar & Hartman, 2019). The scripture educates believers
on the way to live by keeping upright morals. Through the Bible, employers and employers learn
the principles to co-exist. As a paralegal, it is essential to note that the Bible acts like a law that
protects people from harmful activities at the workplace.
Biblical Guidelines
The Bible guidelines encourage businesses to focus on profit with a reason, with both
compassion and determination (Bennett-Alexandar & Hartman, 2019). The Bible talks about
working without supervision, a principle that paralegals should employ at the workplace. In
Colossians 3:22, the Bible discusses obeying and serving employers as if Christians were serving
3
God. In addition, the Bible reminds Christian employees concerning working hard all the time.
As a paralegal, obeying masters and delivering duties on time offers an opportunity to focus on
achieving even more. The Bible discourages laziness, therefore ordering people to be hard
working.
