CHCGD began as a collaborative effort between Public Health, Kettering, and Premier Health
Partners in an effort to serving the health needs of low-income populations in the Dayton area.
They applied for Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in December of 2007 and were
granted this status in March of 2009. Along with support from other sponsors in the community,
they offer primary, dental, and podiatry care to residents of the area regardless of their ability to
pay.

The Miami Valley Women’s Center was created to support women with an unplanned pregnancy.
Whether married or single, they offer not only free pregnancy testing, but also care and support
in making decisions regarding adoption. They offer confidential care with no cost to the client.
They also offer parenting classes to both women and men. MVWC is a faith-based option that
offers spiritual resources including counseling after an abortion or infant death.
